Head of Marketing - Digital Tech Online Business

We have an incredible opportunity for a Head of Marketing to come and join this very exciting business. Our client is a global online brand in the entertainment space, with a presence across markets in Europe, North America and Asia. 

A team of passionate innovators driven by a shared love for entertainment, they are seeking a marketing leader to help them connect more fans and customers. 

The Head of Marketing will be a senior leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives user acquisition, engagement, and retention across their digital marketplace. This individual will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of performance marketing, brand building, and data analytics.

You will be responsible for leading a team of 7, managing budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and their executive team peers to achieve ambitious growth and profitability targets.

The key responsbilities for this role will include:

  1. Strategy & Leadership. You will develop, implement and own the end-to-end marketing strategy to help achieve business objectives. The Head of Marketing will define and track marketing metrics, and report on performance to the leadership team. You will oversee a team of 7 within the marketing team, and provide director and mentorship for their careers and development.
  2. Performance & Growth Marketing. Essential experience in needed in these areas, and you'll oversee all digital marketing channels, including Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, CRM, email marketing and affiliate partnerships. You'll be comfortable leading budgets and financial conversations, and how to allocate budgets effectively across channels to maximise ROI. 
  3. Brand & Content.  Working with the team, you'll help to develop a strong and consistent brand voice and messages that resonates with the target audience. You'll develop and deploy content that is consistent with the brand voice across owned channels, to help build brand affinity, authority and drive organic traffic. You'll work with the wider comms team to help build brand reputation both internally and externally. You'll oversee, plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns for the brand and portfolio. 
  4. Collaboration. The Head of Marketing will work closely with the Product team to influence the product roadmap based on the market insights and user feedback. You'll work closely with the supply team, operations and customer services teams to ensure seamless collaboration across all touch points, and you'll work closely with the leadership and finanance team to ensure all marketing programmes meet or exceeed financial objectives and remain within budget.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior marketing role, with a strong background in digital and performance marketing, preferably within a digital marketplace, e-commerce, or SaaS company.

  • Demonstrable track record of successfully developing and executing marketing strategies that drive significant user and revenue growth.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience building and scaling marketing teams.

  • Deep expertise in SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing, and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).

  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right marketing leader. You must know what a strong brand is, believe in branding and have built a brand before. We need someone with a view point, opion and a can do attitude. You must be someone who loves to market/promote via his/her creative ideas and story telling. You will be digital through and through, but also realise that there are other channels out there, and you'll think at an integrated level.

As a Head of Marketing, you must be really adept at creative production, content development and testing, and ideally you will have a network of resources the business can tap into to help lead and drive creative projects. You'll be an excellent writer and communicator, who has a great sense of design and creativity, and you'll be both analytical and conceptual.
