Description:

A Staffordshire based local authority is seeking an experienced Planning Professional to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term contract through to November 2026, working on a broad range of planning and regeneration projects that make a real impact in the area.

In this role, you will assess and determine a wide variety of planning applications and enforcement cases, ensuring all work aligns with current planning law, policy, and guidance.

You’ll be responsible for validating planning applications, preparing and presenting reports to committee.

There is also the opportunity to act as a professional witness at public inquiries, hearings, and examinations, providing expert evidence as required.

The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, collaborative approach and a strong understanding of the planning system within a local authority context.

This role offers hybrid working, some office presence is preferred to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The hourly is £50 per hour for the right person.
