Strategy Director (Charity). London, Hybrid working. £60 – £70K

This strategic and creative agency brings people together to change the world. They are looking for a brilliant Strategy Director to help tackle its creative and strategic challenges.

The strategy team is responsible for leading strategic projects for key charity clients to unlock their fundraising and engagement potential. As Strategy Director, you will be expected to deliver high-quality, effective, and actionable insight and strategy in a way that drives both the productivity and profitability of the agency and unlocks future opportunities.

The role involves significant autonomy. Once established, the Strategy Director will be expected to make decisions on client strategies, build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, and provide leadership for both project and client teams.

The ideal Strategy Director will be:

● A critical thinker with an analytical mind, curious and insatiable for evidence-based insight.

● Skilled at creative planning and taking a creative approach to client challenges.

● Able to analyse complex data and information, pull out the key insights, and communicate them in a clear and concise way.

Key responsibilities for this Strategy Director include:

● Leading strategy for clients: delivering work that meets targets, uncovers valuable insight, and wins new business.

● Drawing together various disciplines – such as audience research, creative insight, data analysis, product development, and business planning – to produce coherent, effective, and actionable strategies for clients.

● Generating and ensuring the application of audience insight and testing to maximise effectiveness across the agency.

● Working with and presenting work to clients and partners in person.

● Supporting colleagues in driving new business and attracting new clients to the agency.

Key skills and experience for this Strategy Director are:

Must-haves:

● At least 7 years’ experience in a direct marketing role that includes budgetary responsibility as well as creative and strategic planning.

● Significant direct marketing experience, working across a range of audiences and channels, including digital.

● Significant experience in using data and insight to inform marketing strategy.

● Experience working in or with non-profit organisations.

● Experience in utilising and applying research and consumer insight.
